Commercial Credit Underwriting Portfolio Manager Team Leader

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; primary office at 300 E. Lombard Street

Salary: $113,932–$189,878 per year, plus potential overtime, incentive, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, recruit, hire, train, and oversee a team of Commercial Credit Underwriting Portfolio Managers.
• Direct underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and credit risk analysis for assigned commercial portfolios.
• Communicate and implement credit underwriting policies, procedures, frameworks, and risk strategies.
• Ensure accurate and timely risk ratings, portfolio metrics, policy exception identification, and stress analysis.
• Provide credit details and guidance to Regional Credit Officers and Credit Risk leaders for lending decisions.
• Support process improvements and maintain satisfactory regulatory, audit, and loan review outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
• At least 7 years of job-related experience.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial lending, including C&I and capital markets, underwriting, and banking practices.
• Knowledge of commercial banking policies, procedures, and government regulations.
• Excellent management, communication, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and basic Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills.
