CDL-B Warehouse & Tooling Technician

Day & Zimmermann operates industrial and power plant support activities through its D&Z MC Supply Chain Division.

What you will do

• Receive, verify, document, store, and redistribute materials and equipment.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts, Bobcats, and other warehouse machinery while following safety requirements.
• Maintain computerized inventory records and complete data entry in web-based tool management platforms.
• Conduct tool and equipment inventories and audits across multiple DZMC sites.
• Schedule vehicle dispatches and coordinate secure deliveries to power plants and industrial client facilities.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and work areas, resolve logistical issues, and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

• At least two years of warehouse, logistics, or material-handling experience.
• Valid CDL Class B is required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial tools, strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Pittsburgh and regularly lift, push, pull, and carry loads exceeding 50 pounds. English reading and writing skills are required.

Nice to have

• Forklift or other warehouse equipment certification.
• Vocational or technical training in supply chain or warehousing.
