Utility Management Consultant (Water/Wastewater)

Location: North Carolina, United States; based out of the Charlotte, Raleigh, Winston-Salem, Asheville, or Wilmington offices.

What you will do

• Provide strategic consultation on water and wastewater systems, utility operations, asset management, and infrastructure challenges.
• Plan, direct, and manage single-discipline planning efforts and multidisciplinary design projects.
• Serve as project manager when needed, tracking budgets, financial performance, resources, scope, and schedules.
• Supervise professional and technical staff and lead internal and external meetings, workshops, and technical discussions.
• Perform technical analyses and prepare clear, concise technical reports.
• Build client relationships, support marketing and contract negotiations, and mentor junior water and wastewater engineering staff.

Requirements

• Professional consulting experience in water and wastewater utility management and operations.
• Ability to manage project delivery, budgets, resources, and client-facing activities.
• Ability to lead technical teams, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
• Ability to prepare technical analyses and reports.
• Local candidates are preferred.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS, Power BI, and/or SQL Server.
• Experience in the A/E/C industry.
