Wage Agency Instructor - Transportation - Civil Engineer

Location: Bryan, Texas, United States; telecommuter work is available, with online, classroom, and field-based instruction.

Salary: $45.00 per hour

What you will do

• Deliver specialty transportation courses through online, classroom, and field-based skills training.
• Apply adult learning theories and varied learning styles to improve learner success.
• Use multiple media formats to present course material.
• Create and update curriculum content to meet learner needs.
• Provide technical assistance in a transportation or civil engineering specialty.
• Maintain technical competence and report to the Agency Training Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or an accepted equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least four years of experience in roadway design, transportation, and highway safety.
• At least one year of adult education or training experience.
• Professional Engineer certification required.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to perform classroom and field-based instruction in Bryan, Texas, as required.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of experience in transportation and roadway design.
• Knowledge of Texas Department of Transportation regulations.
• Five or more years of adult education or training experience.
