Brazilian Portuguese Audio Transcriptionist (AI Training)

Location: Fully remote

What you will do

• Transcribe spoken audio recordings in Brazilian Portuguese accurately and in detail.
• Handle crosstalk, multiple speakers, background noise, filled pauses, informal speech, non-verbal sounds, and inaudible segments.
• Apply detailed transcription style and formatting guidelines consistently.
• Maintain quality and accuracy across high volumes of audio content.
• Flag ambiguous or problematic segments with clear, structured notes.
• Work independently and asynchronously on a flexible schedule.

Requirements

• Native Brazilian Portuguese proficiency, including familiarity with natural speech patterns, regional accents, and colloquial expressions.
• Exceptional listening skills and strong written communication in Portuguese.
• High attention to detail, patience, reliability, and self-motivation.
• Ability to follow detailed transcription style guides and annotation conventions.
• Fast and accurate typing skills.
• Availability for 10–40 hours per week.

Nice to have

• Professional transcription, court reporting, or stenography experience.
• Subtitle creation, closed-captioning, or audio editing experience.
• Education or training in linguistics, phonetics, discourse analysis, or language documentation.
• Experience with annotation platforms, data labeling tools, AI training pipelines, or multi-speaker audio.
• English and Brazilian Portuguese bilingual fluency.
