Field Specialist, B (Oil and Gas)

Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico, United States of America; on-site field role with an 8/6 work schedule and rotating on-call shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required. Relocation benefits will not be considered, and visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain oil and gas production equipment, including plunger lift systems, rod pumps, flowing wells, and compressors.
• Monitor and optimize production process variables, artificial lift systems, facility equipment, and computer control systems.
• Operate SCADA, test wells and safety devices, acquire fluid-level information, and maintain production records and data inputs.
• Partner with employees and contractors to maintain equipment reliability, efficiency, and operational performance.
• Create inventory and maintenance work orders in a Computerized Maintenance Management System and support work planning and prioritization.
• Follow hirify.global Operational Excellence standards, applicable regulations, environmental requirements, and safe operating practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of current related experience in oil and gas or petrochemical industries.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability and willingness to work the assigned rotating schedule, including on-call shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Must be able to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship and time-limited visa status are not accepted.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree in petroleum technology, process technology, or a related discipline.
• One year of current experience in unconventional oil and gas operations.
• Experience with pneumatic and electronic instrumentation, basic equipment troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of MS Office, CMMS, and SCADA, with the ability to learn new software.
• Experience working effectively with coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers.
