Location: United States; remote coverage required during shifts between 5:00 AM and 8:00 PM Pacific Time

What you will do
- Cover available shifts for the Beacon Safety Support Specialist team, including weekends and holidays.
- Review Beacon active planning alerts and escalate concerns by phone to school administrators such as counselors.
- Identify new issues and trends, including sensitive cases, and contribute to solution building.
- Support training, enablement, implementation, knowledge-base articles, and canned responses.
- Participate in Safety Support Specialist team projects and handle technical support tickets as business needs arise.
Requirements
- Flexible availability for optional shifts between 5:00 AM and 8:00 PM PT, including weekends and holidays.
- Availability for onboarding during the first two weeks, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PT.
- At least one year of experience in customer support or another intimate customer-facing role.
- At least one year of experience in white-glove customer service, including support tickets and phone calls.
- Experience with Zendesk and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to follow protocols, handle edge cases, and remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
Nice to have
- Experience in trust and safety, online content moderation, or school-based roles such as teaching, counseling, therapy, social work, or administration.
- College degree.
- Additional non-English language proficiency.
