Warehouse Operations Management Trainee (Florida)

Location: On-site at distribution centers in Ocala, Panama City Beach, Tallahassee, Fort Myers, South Miami, Port St. Lucie, Cape Coral, or Medley, Florida. Training is held on-site, followed by required relocation out of state within the United States after May, with company assistance.

Salary: $28.85 per hour on a full-time schedule, with possible relocation or cost-of-living adjustments.

What you will do

• Complete a six-month, hands-on management training program in a distribution warehouse.
• Rotate through operations, management, purchasing, and other distribution center functions.
• Observe experienced employees and learn operating methods, procedures, and performance standards.
• Work with contractors, builders, service and maintenance providers, and retail customers to understand the distribution business.
• Attend classroom training in operations, financials, leadership, human capital management, and operating systems at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas.
• Present a comprehensive program completion presentation to senior management and contribute to special operations projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in industrial distribution, supply chain management, management, operations, or a related discipline, with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Leadership or problem-solving experience, or relevant distribution, supply chain, volunteer, athletic, military, or community leadership experience.
• Willingness and ability to work in a distribution warehouse, lead and develop a team, and manage rapidly changing priorities.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time, operate or maneuver heavy machinery such as pallet jacks and forklifts, and lift products up to 75 pounds.
• Willingness and ability to relocate during and after the program within the United States at company expense.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background verification is required.

• Microsoft Office knowledge and ability to learn inventory and other software systems.
