Systems Engineering Co-Op (Summer 2027) (Aerospace)

Location: East Syracuse, New York, United States

Salary: $20.27–$22.30 per hour, plus a sign-on bonus to offset housing expenses for eligible co-op students living outside the typical commuting distance.

What you will do

• Support system integration in laboratory and operational environments.
• Perform system and data analysis to propose solutions to customer problems.
• Generate and investigate problem reports.
• Participate in technical reviews and status meetings.
• Help deliver Aerobahn product suite and Digital Tower solutions for airports and airlines.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited Engineering or related degree program.
• Have completed at least the sophomore year and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Systematically evaluate data and perform basic data analysis.
• Have software programming or scripting experience and be able to read and understand code.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
• Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Nice to have

• Relational database experience with SQL.
• Familiarity with Unix-based systems, including Linux.
• Experience with Java, C#, Python, HTML, or web and mobile development technologies.
• Understanding of hardware interfaces, electrical characteristics, and communication protocols.
• Experience performing trade studies.
