Machine Operator - 3rd Shift (Medical Manufacturing)

Location: Glens Falls, New York, United States; onsite, 3rd shift Sunday–Thursday, 9:30 p.m.–6:00 a.m.

Salary: $17.25–$25.00 hourly; machine operators start at $19.50/hour. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available for 3rd-shift DT/PMM positions after 120 days of continuous employment.

What you will do

• Start up, operate, adjust, and perform changeovers on production equipment while meeting quality, production, and cost objectives.
• Record production information and complete MRP data-entry transactions to maintain material traceability and accountability.
• Read and apply work schedules, Kanban instructions, bills of materials, drawings, travelers, SOPs, operational codes, and related tables.
• Perform minor troubleshooting, assist with preventive maintenance, and escalate technical issues to machine shop or engineering support.
• Coordinate with production supervisors and coordinators, provide feedback on machine performance, and train other operators when requested.
• Maintain a clean, safe, compliant manufacturing environment and follow quality, OSHA, and company safety requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced production environment.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills, along with the ability to interpret technical and operating documentation.
• Mechanical aptitude, effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, and strong hand-eye coordination.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Glens Falls, New York, on the 3rd shift; training may initially occur on the 1st or 2nd shift.
