Power System Engineer

Location: Office-based in Rochester, Binghamton, or Orange, New York; Augusta or Portland, Maine

What you will do

• Support the reliability, safety, and modernization of electric transmission and distribution networks.
• Work in areas including distribution planning, transmission planning, interconnection, and power system modeling.
• Support grid operations, protection and control, design and engineering, and grid infrastructure initiatives.
• Contribute to project management and asset management activities.
• Support NERC Reliability Standards compliance roles involving Critical Infrastructure Protection and Operations and Planning responsibilities when assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Engineer-level roles require a bachelor’s degree and approximately 2 years of industry-related experience.
• Senior Engineer roles require 5+ years of industry-related experience.
• Lead Engineer roles require 7+ years of industry-related experience; advanced degrees or certifications receive additional consideration.
• Principal Engineer roles require 10+ years of industry-related experience; advanced degrees or certifications receive additional consideration.
• Applicants must comply with U.S. immigration requirements to work legally in the country if they are not U.S. citizens.
