Sr. Maintenance Technician - Inspection & Packaging (24/7 Shift) (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing): Maintaining and troubleshooting process, inspection, and packaging equipment across production and support facilities with an accent on GMP compliance, equipment reliability, and safe maintenance execution. Focus on investigating failures and deviations, supporting commissioning and validation, and improving maintenance programs through predictive tools and local projects.

Location: Dun Laoghaire, Ireland; 24/7 shift

What you will do

  • Execute advanced maintenance activities on process, inspection, packaging, and supporting equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, investigate failures and deviations, and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support new equipment start-ups, machine upgrades, trials, testing, and CQV activities.
  • Implement local projects that improve equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
  • Complete GMP documentation, maintenance records, handovers, and electronic logs accurately.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and cross-functional teams while maintaining safe and compliant operations.

Requirements

  • Recognised apprenticeship in an electrical or mechanical craft.
  • Combined education, training, and experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, technical manuals, electrical schematics, layout drawings, and P&IDs.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, utility, and electrical systems.
  • Experience using computerised maintenance management systems to execute and document maintenance work.
  • Ability to identify hazards, isolation points, and service interdependencies for LOTO activities, work independently, and communicate equipment status clearly.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a pharmaceutical, aseptic, or other regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing and inspection equipment.
