Warehouse Operations Management Trainee (North Carolina)

Location: On-site training at distribution centers in Raleigh, Greensboro, and Charlotte, North Carolina, with classroom training in Plano, Texas. Relocation out of state is required during and after the program, with company-provided assistance. Travel up to 25%.

Salary: $28.85 per hour on a full-time schedule; relocation or cost-of-living adjustments may apply.

What you will do

• Complete a six-month, hands-on training program in distribution center operations, management, and purchasing.
• Learn methods, procedures, and performance standards by shadowing experienced employees.
• Work with contractors, builders, service and maintenance providers, and retail customers to understand the industry.
• Attend classroom sessions covering operations, financials, leadership, human capital management, and operating systems.
• Complete special operations projects and deliver a presentation to senior management at program completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in industrial distribution, supply chain management, management, operations, or a related discipline, with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Leadership or problem-solving experience; relevant internships, organizations, volunteer work, athletics, or military leadership may substitute for work experience.
• Ability and willingness to work in a distribution warehouse and lead and develop a team amid changing priorities.
• Ability to operate or maneuver heavy machinery and lift products weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to relocate during and after the program at company expense.

Nice to have

• Bilingual English and Spanish skills.
• Microsoft Office knowledge and ability to learn inventory and other software systems.
