Director, Communication & Public Affairs, Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine North Asia

Location: Hybrid role based in Seoul, South Korea, covering South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

What you will do

• Lead communication and public affairs strategy and execution across North Asia.
• Advise the Area Managing Director and senior regional and global communication leaders on reputation, positioning, therapeutic areas, and business strategy.
• Build relationships with media, patient groups, social media influencers, trade associations, NGOs, government affairs teams, and market access stakeholders.
• Serve as the lead media spokesperson on major North Asia issues and lead communication during sensitive situations and crises.
• Manage external agency partners, budgets, measurement programs, and multiple projects across geographies and time zones.
• Represent North Asia on Asia Pacific leadership teams, global forums, and capability-building initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 12–15 years of experience in public affairs and media relations.
• Healthcare industry or policy-making experience is preferred.
• Flawless English written, verbal, and visual communication skills are required.
• Korean written, verbal, and visual communication skills are required, along with strong connections to top-tier Korean media outlets.
• Experience leading multicultural teams, managing stakeholders, budgets, agencies, crises, and multiple projects independently.
