TL;DR
Vice President, U.S. Litigation Counsel (Civil Litigation and Intellectual Property): Managing U.S. litigation, regulatory matters, investigations, discovery operations, and content protection enforcement strategies with an accent on risk management, intellectual property, privacy, and executive-level legal counsel. Focus on directing outside counsel, drafting motions and discovery materials, taking depositions, resolving disputes, and protecting media content from piracy and other legal risks.

What you will do
- Provide expert in-house legal guidance on litigation and risk-related matters.
- Design and implement risk management strategies covering antitrust, employment, data protection, patent, and intellectual property litigation.
- Develop content protection and anti-piracy enforcement strategies for the company’s content library and original programming.
- Manage litigation, dispute resolution, and state and federal governmental investigations across U.S. businesses and locations.
- Lead hands-on litigation work, including outside counsel management, motion drafting, depositions, and discovery requests and responses.
- Advise senior management on emerging litigation risks, indemnity clauses, insurance, privacy obligations, and business growth initiatives; deliver legal training to business teams.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution.
- 7–10 years of relevant legal experience in civil litigation, intellectual property, First Amendment law, copyright law, and criminal prosecution.
- Experience providing strategic oversight, leading group-wide projects, and managing senior executive relationships.
- Strong matter management, negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
