Location: On-site training at SCP Distributors #129 in Lakewood, New Jersey; relocation out of state is required after training, with company-provided assistance. Classroom training is held in Plano, Texas. Travel up to 25% is required.

Salary: $28.85 per hour on a full-time schedule, with possible relocation or cost-of-living adjustments.

What you will do

  • Complete a six-month, hands-on management training program in distribution center operations.
  • Work across operations, management, and purchasing functions while learning sales center procedures and performance standards.
  • Shadow contractors, builders, service and maintenance providers, and retail customers to understand the distribution business.
  • Attend classroom sessions covering operations, financials, leadership, human capital management, and operating systems.
  • Complete special operations projects and present program results to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in industrial distribution, supply chain management, management, operations, or a related discipline, with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • Leadership or problem-solving experience, including relevant internships, organizations, volunteer work, athletics, or military leadership.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a distribution warehouse and lead and develop a team in a changing environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% and relocate during and after the program for career development opportunities.
  • Ability to operate or maneuver heavy machinery such as pallet jacks and forklifts and lift products weighing up to 75 pounds.

Nice to have

  • Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn inventory and other operating systems.
