Munition-Demolition, Operator

Location: Parsons, Kansas, United States; onsite at the company office or worksite

Salary: $22.52 per hour

Day & Zimmermann provides the operational team for this onsite munitions-demolition role.

What you will do

• Maintain the condition and utilization of warehouses, including stock movement and storage.
• Prepare explosives demolition charges and move processed ammunition.
• Load, unload, and store hazardous waste materials in igloos or warehouses according to drawings and specifications.
• Maintain master logs, conduct inventories of destroyed materials, and verify quantities and lot numbers of received materials.
• Organize storage to conserve space, reduce handling, ensure accessibility, and comply with safety regulations.
• Perform roads and grounds duties while meeting demanding physical and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience or qualifications in munitions disposal and surveillance operations.
• Forklift capability.
• Safety awareness, strong mathematics, and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of ATF, DSS, and Homeland Security regulations.
• Minimum sixth-grade reading comprehension and ability to read and write complex documents in English.
