Strategic Sourcing Technology Category Manager (Hybrid)

Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota campus; hybrid work with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office for associates within a 90-minute commutable distance.

Base pay: $59,400–$109,200 per year.

What you will do

• Negotiate technology-focused contracts covering software, SaaS, hardware, and professional services.
• Mitigate business, financial, legal, reputational, and technical risks through sourcing and contracting activities.
• Build and maintain mutually beneficial long-term relationships with key technology vendors.
• Lead and oversee cross-functional teams throughout the technology sourcing process.
• Manage technology categories to optimize company spend and achieve business outcomes.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience with contract law, compliance, and assessing and mitigating risk.
• 2–3 years of project management experience.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, communication, active listening, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to use data-driven analysis for creative problem solving, strategy creation, and negotiation.
• Ability to prioritize and remain productive while managing high volumes in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Saint Paul office arrangement at least 3 days per week when within commuting distance.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree focused on business, risk management, or information technology.
• Information technology background or experience.
• Up to 3 years of experience in technology contracting, procurement, sourcing, or vendor management.
