Safety Manager (Foundations)

Location: Rogers, Minnesota, United States; primarily field-based with required office duties, regular travel, and overnight stays outside the office area.

Salary: $86,000–$112,500 base compensation annually.

A specialty contracting company delivering foundations, earthwork, utilities, marine services, industrial cleaning, pipeline rehabilitation, and waste disposal projects.

What you will do

• Plan, implement, and supervise safety, accident and injury prevention, and fire protection programs across projects, facilities, fleet operations, and worksites.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, workers’ compensation cases, and property damage; determine root causes and coordinate mitigation, communication, and follow-up training.
• Write site-specific safety programs and health and safety plans, conduct regular site audits, and coach field personnel.
• Deliver safety orientations and in-house training for employees, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, MDH, MPCA, DOT, and other applicable regulations, including maintaining required records and reports.
• Manage air-monitoring instruments and safety equipment, support policy development, and provide backup coverage for the Safety Coordinator.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in construction, waste, and/or transportation industries.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Working knowledge of safety and environmental principles and techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills when working with employees, management, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Valid driver’s license, satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record, ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, and availability for 8–10-hour workdays Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends, overtime, travel, and overnight stays.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a safety and health-related discipline.
• Advanced safety certifications such as OHST, CHST, or CSP, and OSHA 500 certification.
• Confined Space, HAZWOPER, DOT, or MSHA training.
• Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with a current medical card.
• Knowledge of driver qualification files and construction, waste, or transportation operations.
