Senior GIS Analyst

Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia; based in the Sydney office

What you will do

• Prepare spatial analysis and mapping for environmental approvals and reporting.
• Manage and maintain GIS project folders and datasets.
• Conduct spatial clipping, overlays and area calculations.
• Support field teams with data collection platforms.
• Assist with automating GIS workflows and improve internal GIS systems and processes.
• Collaborate with teams across Australia on approvals, contamination, remediation and ecology projects.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant industry experience; consulting experience is highly regarded.
• Tertiary qualification in Spatial Science, GIS, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in QGIS and/or ArcGIS, including ArcGIS Pro.
• Experience with Field Maps and Survey123.
• Exposure to environmental or ecological datasets, including remediation, environmental approvals or ecology projects.
• Introductory Python skills for scripting, automation or geoprocessing; basic SQL and database concepts are advantageous.
