HDD Driller (Trenchless Construction)

Location: Melbourne, VIC, Australia; willingness to work in remote locations, travel internationally for projects, and work 12-hour days on a 2:1 roster is required.

Salary: AUD 100,000–150,000 per annum

What you will do

• Operate HDD drilling rigs with more than 500 tons of pulling force.
• Coordinate and instruct drilling helpers.
• Inspect, maintain, and care for drilling rigs and related machinery.
• Manage drilling protocols accurately and completely.
• Follow occupational health and safety requirements and construction-site cleanliness standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience operating HDD drilling equipment.
• Cert III in Trenchless Technology or Drilling, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience with HDD or general construction machinery, including pumps, plus basic mechanical knowledge.
• Current driver’s licence, White Card, and first aid certificate.
• Leadership experience, physical fitness, and the ability to work outdoors in a team-focused environment.
• Existing Australian work rights, ability to pass a mine-site medical and drug and alcohol screening, and National Police Clearance are required.
