Warehouse Operations Management Trainee (Massachusetts)

Location: On-site training at SCP Distributors #561 in Taunton, Massachusetts, or #093 in North Andover, Massachusetts. Relocation out of state is required after training, with company-provided assistance.

Salary: $28.85 per hour on a full-time schedule, with possible relocation or cost-of-living adjustments.

What you will do

• Complete a six-month, hands-on training program in distribution-center operations, management, and purchasing.
• Observe experienced employees and learn operating methods, procedures, and performance standards.
• Shadow contractors, builders, service and maintenance professionals, and retail customers to understand the swimming pool, irrigation, and landscaping business.
• Attend classroom sessions at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas, covering operations, financials, leadership, human capital management, and operating systems.
• Complete special operations projects and deliver a presentation to senior management at the end of the program.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in industrial distribution, supply chain management, management, operations, or a related discipline, with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Leadership or problem-solving experience; relevant internships, organizations, volunteer work, athletics, or military leadership may be considered.
• Ability and willingness to work in a distribution warehouse, lead and develop a team, and manage rapidly changing priorities.
• Ability and willingness to relocate during and after the program for career development opportunities.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time, maneuver heavy machinery, and lift products weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Strong customer-service orientation, motivation, and problem-solving ability.

Nice to have

• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn inventory and other software systems.
