Transportation Engineer - EIT

Location: Lubbock, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work

What you will do

• Support transportation projects for municipalities, counties, and TxDOT clients in the Lubbock area.
• Apply engineering criteria, design standards, and applicable manuals to transportation project development.
• Gather and analyze data, perform engineering calculations, and prepare plans, specifications, reports, and studies.
• Coordinate drafting and design activities and provide direction to CAD technicians, designers, entry-level engineers, and interns.
• Interface with clients, contribute to project relationships, and complete assigned work within defined scope and schedules.
• Perform quality control on deliverables and provide continuous improvement input.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience performing engineering tasks in a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent field.
• General understanding of civil engineering and transportation projects.
• Certification as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.

Nice to have

• OpenRoads Designer experience.
