Associate, Primary (Private Equity)

What you will do

• Conduct due diligence on primary private investment fund opportunities across Asia, including manager meetings, reference calls, independent research, and performance benchmarking.
• Prepare written investment recommendation memoranda and develop investment theses for review by the Asia and Global Investment Committees.
• Build knowledge of the Asian private equity manager landscape and source and evaluate new fund opportunities.
• Monitor existing primary fund investments through meetings, reports, portfolio update calls, and regular market-trend analysis.
• Support senior professionals with fundraising, marketing requests, client programs, data analysis, and investment updates.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in financial services, including fund of funds, investment banking, consulting, transaction services, or alternative asset management.
• Strong quantitative skills and deep experience with Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills, intellectual curiosity, maturity, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English and a second Asian language, preferably Mandarin and/or Japanese.
