Production First Line Supervisor (Chemical Manufacturing): Leading frontline production employees at a chemical manufacturing facility to safely produce quality products and meet daily production goals with an accent on safety culture, process safety management, equipment readiness, and workforce development. Focus on coordinating rotating-shift operations, maintenance readiness, emergency response, staffing, and corrective actions while balancing safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Location: New Johnsonville, Tennessee, United States; onsite at the hirify.global Titanium Technology facility

Salary: $85,801–$134,064 per year, plus a 6% annual bonus target

What you will do

  • Lead frontline production employees and ensure safe, reliable, and quality-focused execution of daily production goals.
  • Promote compliance with safety rules, permit-to-work requirements, OSHA, process safety management, and company standards.
  • Coordinate staffing, daily schedules, work assignments, fluctuating workloads, and emergency response activities.
  • Prepare equipment for scheduled maintenance, including cleaning, decontamination, lockout procedures, and work permits.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, planning, production, and manufacturing engineering teams on priorities and work execution.
  • Monitor operational performance, costs, quality, uptime, and safety, initiating investigations and corrective actions when needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • 3–4 years of industrial or production experience, including the ability to motivate, train, and lead employees.
  • Strong safety mindset with the ability to hold oneself and others accountable.
  • Ability to make timely and accurate decisions in a fast-paced environment and analyze data.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of chemical operations, safety, computer applications, Microsoft Office, and the ability to respond to plant emergencies.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, vocational training, or related on-the-job experience.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean certification.
  • Process safety management training or experience.
  • Operations, scheduling, planning, SAP, or other ERP systems experience.
  • Experience with chemical industry emergency response processes.
