What you will do

• Create and present weather reports for broadcast, web, streaming, and social media platforms.
• Produce graphics and use weather forecasting resources to communicate forecasts clearly.
• Post up-to-the-minute weather content on KETK.com, KETK+, and social media.
• Write, edit, research, and coordinate weather programming and related content.
• Shoot and edit weather-related stories and develop comprehensive coverage with the weather team.
• Respond to breaking and severe weather events, including live wall-to-wall coverage and public appearances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Strong understanding of meteorology and a proven track record of forecasting.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Flexibility to work any shift and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, lift and operate equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive movements.

• Experience with the Baron Weather system.
