TL;DR
Industrial Maintenance Technician (Electrical and Facility Maintenance): Supporting the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical infrastructure and facility systems at the Huntsman Advanced Technology Center with an accent on electrical safety, industrial plumbing, mechanical systems, and operational reliability. Focus on diagnosing three-phase power, VFD, PLC, pneumatic, hydraulic, and facility infrastructure issues while performing preventive maintenance and responding to urgent site requests.

What you will do
- Support the Master Electrician with installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, lighting, motors, control panels, switchgear, and three-phase systems up to 480 VAC.
- Perform and document preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and testing in the site CMMS.
- Execute Lockout/Tagout and arc flash procedures and maintain required safety certifications.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, plumbing, water, gas, and other facility infrastructure systems.
- Coordinate with contractors and support laboratory instrument calibration, safety system testing, building and grounds maintenance, and site events.
- Respond to urgent and on-call maintenance needs and participate in safety, training, and corrective-action activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or 4+ years of hands-on electrical installation and infrastructure experience, or at least 3 years as an Electrician Apprentice.
- Working knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives, Motor Control Centers, and Programmable Logic Controller systems.
- Experience with industrial plumbing systems, components, and fittings.
- Experience operating aerial lifts, forklifts, and other industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and related documentation.
- Unrestricted right to work for in the United States is required.
Nice to have
- Journeyman Electrician license or progress toward obtaining one.
- Experience with explosion-proof electrical equipment or laboratory and chemical facility environments.
- Experience with rigging, machining, fabrication, welding, first response, or CMMS platforms.
Culture & Benefits
- Full-time Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Work in industrial, laboratory, and maintenance environments with exposure to electrical systems, mechanical equipment, outdoor conditions, and facility infrastructure.
