Location: Onsite at Tufts Medical Center outpatient clinic
Pay range: $40.00–$47.41 per hour

What you will do
- Evaluate and assess orthopedic upper-extremity patients and occasionally neuromuscular and pediatric patients.
- Develop treatment plans and short- and long-term goals to support functional outcomes.
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercise, physical modalities, adaptive equipment, and splinting.
- Collaborate with hand surgeons and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and support safe independence.
- Educate patients, families, students, colleagues, and hospital employees about occupational therapy.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and billing records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Occupational Therapy license and National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy registration.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- At least one year of clinical experience; two years of outpatient experience is required.
- Ability to work independently with patients across the lifespan and with acute or long-term disabilities.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English, with strong communication, teamwork, flexibility, and time-management skills.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience with complex splinting.
- Knowledge of upper-extremity protocols for common surgeries.
- Certified Hand Therapist preference.
