Sr. Systems Engineer (Industrial Automation)

Location: Denton, Texas, USA. Travel required approximately 25–40% domestically and internationally, including manufacturing and plant site visits.

What you will do

• Lead system-level design, integration, and validation of hardware, software, and control components across product lines.
• Define system architecture, requirements, and technical specifications for new products and enhancements.
• Collaborate with R&D, product management, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Drive root cause analysis and resolve complex system issues affecting performance and reliability.
• Support concept development, prototyping, testing, production launch, and other product lifecycle activities.
• Maintain system documentation, ensure compliance with standards, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, product development, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong knowledge of system architecture, integration, and validation methodologies.
• Experience with engineering tools and system modeling techniques such as MATLAB or Simulink.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed and use personal protective equipment in manufacturing environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with embedded systems, controls, or industrial automation technologies.
• Master’s degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
