Facilities Electrical Engineer

Location: Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, or Houston, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work.

An infrastructure engineering firm with more than 130 years of experience planning and designing water, transportation, disaster resilience, and other community infrastructure.

What you will do

• Analyze existing electrical systems and recommend cost-effective improvements.
• Design power distribution, lighting, generator, and building control systems.
• Develop project designs from planning through construction, including equipment evaluation and field verification.
• Perform site visits, witness testing, and construction-phase services.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Review design documents for quality and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• At least 4 years of facility engineering experience.
• Experience across planning, design, and construction phases.
• Experience working with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Experience designing electrical power, lighting, and generator systems for buildings.
• Ability to obtain PE licensure in additional U.S. states.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, construction documents, and Revit.
