What you will do
- Support the design and execution of studies and experiments for clinical development and medical affairs programs.
- Perform statistical analysis, interpretation, reporting, and communication of data evidence for research, development, and marketed products.
- Contribute to experimental design, modeling, analysis planning, scenario simulations, and sample size calculations.
- Support regulatory and decision-making activities, including Japan post-marketing surveillance requirements.
- Collaborate with Statistics & Decision Sciences, Quantitative Sciences & Clinical Pharmacology, clinical teams, and external partners.
- Prepare project deliverables, exploratory analyses, graphics, and additional analyses supporting clinical studies and publications.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Statistics or a related field.
- Proficiency in SAS and R programming, with experience using relevant computational tools such as EAST, SOLARA, FACTS, or Python.
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in both Japanese and English are required.
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary contexts outside statistics and translate statistical concepts for non-statistical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of statistical methodology, drug development processes, regulatory guidance, data integrity, and Good Clinical Practice.
- Domestic or international travel of less than 10% is anticipated.
