Claims Examiner

Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota campus; hybrid work with in-office attendance once a month for associates within a 90-minute commute

Estimated base pay: $21.54–$37.64 per hour

What you will do

• Investigate living benefits claims and determine appropriate claim-handling approaches.
• Monitor investigations and communicate claim status to interested parties.
• Evaluate investigation results and authorize payments or claim denials.
• Prepare detailed explanations supporting payment or denial decisions.
• Review claim files for complete and accurate information and documentation.
• Manage a high volume of claims while meeting turnaround standards and handling telephone inquiries.

Requirements

• Knowledge of living benefits claim processing.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational and priority-management skills.
• Ability to achieve results independently and in a team production environment.
• Ability to learn and adapt to changing technologies while providing compassionate customer service.
