Senior Manager, Data Science (AI)

Location: Bentonville, Arkansas, United States; Together Building AR Bentonville Home Office

Salary: $110,000–$220,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead advanced analytical initiatives and deliver machine learning solutions that support strategic business decisions.
• Develop short- and long-term business strategies supported by financial models.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and opportunities.
• Lead the delivery of advanced analytical solutions across supply chain, store operations, last-mile delivery, and innovation initiatives.
• Communicate analytical insights and recommendations to executives and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Attract, mentor, and develop data science team members while fostering a supportive environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a data scientist delivering analytical insights and data-driven business strategies.
• 5+ years of experience building and leading high-performing domestic and multinational data science teams.
• Experience with forecasting, machine learning, simulation, optimization, and GenAI.
• Strong implementation experience in at least one programming language, such as Python, R, Java, or C++.
• Hands-on experience with data wrangling and debugging complex SQL queries.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant quantitative or computer science field, or 7 years of experience in analytics or a related field.

Nice to have

• PhD in machine learning, computer science, information technology, operations research, statistics, applied mathematics, or econometrics.
• Experience with Spark, Scala, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or Torch.
• Supervisory experience and successful completion of technical assessments.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
