Day & Zimmermann offers an onsite role focused on residual material and property disposition in an industrial environment.

What you will do

• Direct the disposal of residual production materials, surplus property, solid waste, contaminated refuse, excess metals, equipment, and tooling.
• Oversee decontamination, demilitarization, scrap sales, recycling, and property disposition activities.
• Generate disposal certifications and government-property documentation, including PCARRS records.
• Use MRP indicators, eBOM data, attrition rates, and planned orders to assess production demand and guide disposal strategies.
• Provide disposal cost estimates, support contract-to-contract property transfers, and manage activities within budget constraints.
• Train employees on waste-stream regulations and coordinate with Environmental teams on RCRA permit compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing or industry required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, Power BI, AI applications, and other business software.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, government regulations, contracts, and procedures; prepare reports and communicate with employees, managers, customers, and the public.
• Valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or current federally compliant passport required.
• Ability to regularly perform all job functions at the company office or work site and meet the physical demands of the role.
