TL;DR
Water Resources EIT/Coordinator (Hydraulics/Hydrology): Developing water resource designs and models for municipal and government projects with an accent on hydraulics, hydrology, stormwater systems, and flood control. Focus on producing design calculations, drafting technical reports, and supporting studies covering river design, levees, channel restoration, and watershed issues.

What you will do

  • Apply design engineering and modeling techniques to water resource projects under the direction of project engineers.
  • Develop hydraulics, hydrology, and stormwater collection system models.
  • Collect, assimilate, and present project data.
  • Support projects involving flood control, river design, grade control structures, dikes, levees, and stream channel restoration.
  • Work on wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues, non-point source loading, and point source design.
  • Prepare design calculations, draft technical reports, and perform water resources studies.

Requirements

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate preferred.
  • Candidates without an EIT certificate will be placed in a Design Coordinator job code and expected to obtain the certificate for career progression.
