Bid Manager (Financial Services): Leading strategic new-business and client-retention bids for workplace and intermediary markets with an accent on bid strategy, customer-focused proposals, and stakeholder alignment. Location: Edinburgh, UK. Hybrid working requires spending at least two days per week, or 40% of working time, at the Edinburgh hub.
Salary: From £61,344 per year, plus benefits.

What you will do
- Lead new-business and client-retention opportunities from qualification through submission.
- Develop bid strategies, win themes, customer-focused proposals, presentations, and client-facing materials.
- Coordinate stakeholders across sales, proposition, specialist, and senior leadership teams.
- Provide commercial insight and constructive challenge to improve bid competitiveness and customer outcomes.
- Drive the adoption of AI, automation, continuous improvement, and proposal best practices.
- Coach colleagues and maintain bid content, templates, knowledge assets, governance, and lessons learned.
Requirements
- Proven bid management experience.
- Experience developing proposals, tenders, or client-facing submissions.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing skills, commercial awareness, and customer focus.
- Track record of driving improvements and delivering positive change in a collaborative environment.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of workplace pensions or the intermediary wealth market.
- Experience with both new-business and client-retention activity.
- Experience using AI, automation, bid technology, proposal automation, or content management platforms.
