Senior Frontend Engineer (React)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid preferred, with fully remote work available for candidates based in the UK.

What you will do

• Establish frontend capability and lead the flexibility team’s frontend technical direction.
• Build and own customer-facing journeys for onboarding, controlling, and analysing low-carbon technology.
• Develop internal interfaces for stakeholders and experimental prototypes.
• Provide WebViews for emerging mobile customer journeys and collaborate with established mobile teams.
• Integrate designs into the Coral design system and work with Product and Design stakeholders on product discovery.
• Build reusable interfaces that enable rapid response to new energy flexibility opportunities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with the relevant frontend stack.
• Strong React and TypeScript experience.
• Ability to own the full development cycle, from requirements and technical proposals through deployment and monitoring.
• Experience handling large-scale tasks independently and developing solutions from open-ended problems.
• Ability to build scalable, performant websites that handle high traffic and meet strong accessibility guidelines.
• Fully remote candidates must be based in the UK.

• Next.js on Vercel.
• GraphQL with TanStack Query.
• React Testing Library, Vitest, and/or MSW.
• Energy domain knowledge.
