What you will do
- Conduct contaminated site investigations, including drilling assessments, groundwater monitoring, sampling, remediation, and reclamation activities.
- Supervise drilling in soil and bedrock, install groundwater monitoring wells, and oversee remedial excavations, trucking, confirmatory sampling, and remediation systems.
- Supervise reclamation equipment and perform reclamation assessments on agricultural land.
- Coordinate field contractors and equipment, including ground-disturbance preparation, line locators, and hydrovacs.
- Collaborate with project managers, technical advisors, regulatory agencies, clients, and multidisciplinary staff on project progress and scope changes.
- Manage project timelines and budgets while applying Alberta and Saskatchewan regulations for oil and gas site assessment, remediation, and reclamation.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of related environmental experience.
- Degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, or engineering.
- Ability to travel up to 25% and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong safety mindset, communication skills, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Valid, clean Class 5 driver’s licence with no restrictions.
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather, perform walking, standing, and sitting duties, and lift over 20 pounds overhead.
