Contract Administrator (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: New Johnsonville Plant, New Johnsonville, Tennessee, United States. Relocation assistance is available. This is an onsite, full-time position.

Salary: $126,067–$196,980 annually, plus a 14% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Direct, coordinate, and oversee all contractor activities at the manufacturing site.
• Act as the primary liaison between contractors and hirify.global site representatives.
• Lead Field Contract Administrators and manage contractor scopes across operations, maintenance, construction, turnaround, and capital projects.
• Coordinate contractor work with site operations, permitting, EHS requirements, and site-specific procedures.
• Conduct contractor EHS audits, validate incident reports, support root-cause investigations, and oversee corrective actions.
• Verify contractor qualifications, certifications, training, onboarding, documentation, and performance evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Engineering Management, or a related technical discipline; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• At least 7 years of experience in contractor administration, EHS, operations, or maintenance in an industrial or chemical manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading, managing, and developing people.
• Knowledge of Process Safety Management requirements and OSHA, EPA, and applicable EHS regulations.
• Ability to conduct audits, root-cause investigations, and corrective-action documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, and electronic management systems.

Nice to have

• 15+ years of experience in plant operations, maintenance, engineering, or EHS.
• Experience managing multiple contractors through prequalification, onboarding, oversight, and performance evaluation.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing or other high-hazard operations.
• Familiarity with ISN or equivalent contractor qualification platforms.
• CSP or similar professional certification and experience coordinating EHS training.
