Studio Design Intern (Graphic Design)

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee, United States

Salary: $18 per hour; paid internship lasting 8.5 weeks, from September 23, 2026, through November 20, 2026, with a maximum of 25 hours per week.

What you will do

• Create and coordinate final artwork, including vector art manipulation and creative layouts.
• Build digital art files from art director files, retouched and illustrated artwork, copy, and printing specifications.
• Prepare and check files for accuracy and correct formats before submission.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, creative directors, writers, illustrators, retouchers, print production teams, and external vendors.
• Move files and deliverables through the studio production process while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
• Review project requirements, scope, and deliverables and make updates as projects progress.

Requirements

• Prior work or life experience in a relevant field, current enrollment as a senior in a bachelor's program, or recent graduation in design, graphic arts, media, marketing, advertising, portfolio school, or a similar field; a degree is not required.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and G-Suite in a Mac environment.
• Strong attention to detail in work and communication.
• Ability to maintain timelines, prioritize, organize work, and perform independently and efficiently.
• Ability to collaborate and succeed in a team environment.
