Community Empowerment Manager

Location: Dallas, TX, United States; regular attendance at local events, schools, job fairs, networking socials, and other community activities is required.

What you will do

• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, nonprofit organizations, political leaders, schools, and business groups.
• Develop and execute community empowerment campaigns, branding opportunities, and initiatives that increase local engagement and station visibility.
• Collaborate with sales, digital media, corporate leadership, and internal departments on business development, social media, streaming, and community strategies.
• Produce PSAs, vignettes, press releases, speech scripts, and weekly Contigo en la Comunidad programming; coordinate PSA placements and airtime.
• Organize phone banks, community events, job fairs, forums, festivals, health fairs, and other outreach activities, including evening and weekend work as needed.
• Manage the station public file, FCC license renewal and EEO reporting, compliance requests, grants, political outreach, and DE&I localization efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in public relations, community affairs, management, marketing, or promotions preferred.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish are required.
• Experience creating written and verbal content for on-air and digital platforms, including press releases, fact sheets, and campaign messaging.
• Strong experience working with Hispanic community groups and leaders, with knowledge of Hispanic dynamics across the United States.
• Knowledge of media production and digital content is preferred.
