Digital Content Writer (AI/SEO)

Location: West Des Moines, Iowa, United States (Hybrid); occasional travel required for client meetings, conferences, training, and team collaboration.

What you will do

• Create, edit, and optimize website copy, blog posts, email campaigns, landing pages, and other digital content.
• Translate complex research, data, and technical source material into clear, accurate, long-form content.
• Support content calendars, topic ideation, and digital content strategies for agency clients.
• Collaborate with account service, content strategists, creative teams, and clients to deliver on-brand content.
• Maintain client-specific brand voices and enter and format content in CMS platforms such as WordPress and Sanity.
• Use AI tools and current SEO, AI search, and email marketing practices to improve content development and performance.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience writing digital content and creating content strategies for email, blogs, and other digital platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, advertising, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of email, SEO, and AI search best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, research, attention-to-detail, project management, and organizational skills.
• Experience with AI tools such as Claude and familiarity with Ahrefs, Moz, SEMrush, or similar SEO tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
