Quality Engineer - 3rd Shift (Automotive Manufacturing): Leading quality engineering and line support for assembly production with an accent on root cause analysis, corrective actions, supplier quality, and process validation. Location: Huntsville, Alabama, USA; onsite manufacturing environment with significant plant-floor presence; 3rd shift; travel up to 10%.

What you will do
- Provide quality engineering leadership and line support for assembly production.
- Lead Quality Technicians and Torque Specialists in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Monitor quality performance metrics, identify trends, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support new product development through production start-ups, tool validation, supplier certification, and process validation.
- Develop inspection and testing processes, equipment requirements, quality procedures, and work instructions.
- Coordinate with suppliers on defective materials and components while maintaining safety and quality compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in quality, process engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Kaizen, control plans, print reading, process improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Experience leading or supervising hourly technicians or specialists in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively on the manufacturing plant floor and communicate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
