Director of Architecture (e-Commerce & Digital Retail)

Location: Atlanta Support Center, United States; expected on-site presence of 80%

What you will do

• Lead architecture strategy and execution for global e-commerce and digital retail platforms.
• Own solution architecture for guest-facing digital channels, products, and platforms.
• Transform the hirify.global Digital Platform into a scalable, multi-brand, white-labeled platform.
• Drive integration of e-commerce and restaurant technology capabilities into a Unified Commerce architecture.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Solution Architects while collaborating with product, engineering, operations, marketing, vendors, and executives.
• Manage complex architecture initiatives from conception through implementation and report progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture and engineering, focused on e-commerce and digital retail.
• 6+ years of leadership experience, including mentoring, coaching, and team development.
• Four-year degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Expertise in large-scale e-commerce, retail, and omnichannel solutions for QSR, retail, or hospitality organizations.
• Deep knowledge of cloud technologies, API-driven architectures, microservices, data, analytics, security, compliance, and privacy.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, Agile, DevOps, continuous delivery, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design, Event-Driven Architecture, CQRS, circuit breaker, and bulkhead patterns.
