Configuration Management Administrator

Location: Farmingdale, New York, United States; onsite

Salary: $67,265–$112,109 per year, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus. Alternative shifts may include a shift premium.

What you will do

• Coordinate configuration management activities for hardware and software releases, BOMs, engineering changes, and product lifecycle records.
• Chair Change Control Boards and coordinate approvals for Engineering Change Notices, Engineering Change Proposals, waivers, and deviations.
• Maintain configuration documentation, including Master Drawing Lists, Configuration Control Lists, As-Built Lists, drawings, and specification control drawings.
• Manage software releases, status accounting, configuration indexes, change listings, trouble-report listings, and software and firmware logbooks.
• Establish and maintain software configuration libraries containing released software, backups, tools, documentation, and master PROMs.
• Prepare configuration management plans, project estimates, and required technical data deliverables while supporting customer interfaces and technical reviews.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in an engineering discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of PCs, Windows, Word, Excel, Access, and automated data systems.
• Thorough understanding of software development and configuration control for operational, simulation, test, and development software.
• Working knowledge of MIL-STD-973, MIL-STD-1521, DOD-STD-2167, and MIL-STD-1679.
• Must have a background that would permit the US Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when required; ITAR-controlled access is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents.
