Senior Data Scientist (Machine Learning): Building and deploying advanced analytics and machine learning solutions for fraud detection, document intelligence, customer analytics, and treasury forecasting with an accent on production ML systems, model governance, and measurable financial impact. Focus on designing NLP and computer vision solutions, building data pipelines and feature stores, mentoring data scientists, and evaluating experiments that reduce fraud losses and improve retention and revenue.
Location: On-site in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; candidates must be local or willing to relocate to the area. Employment-based visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do
- Design and develop machine learning models for fraud detection, customer behavior, document intelligence, and financial forecasting.
- Architect and oversee production ML systems, including data pipelines, feature stores, model deployment, and performance monitoring.
- Design and implement NLP, computer vision, OCR, document AI, and hybrid rule-based/ML solutions.
- Partner with business leaders, data engineering, IT, and other stakeholders to translate financial and operational problems into scalable data-driven solutions.
- Design and evaluate A/B tests and back-testing experiments to measure fraud reduction, customer retention, and revenue impact.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level data scientists while establishing modeling, documentation, governance, and compliance practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- At least 5 years of job-related experience.
- Advanced Python skills, including pandas and scikit-learn, plus advanced SQL querying and data extraction.
- Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning, statistical modeling, experimentation, data wrangling, and feature engineering.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, interpersonal, project management, and management skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment-based visa sponsorship is not provided.
