is an energy company hiring for its Asia Pacific and Middle East supply chain and joint venture refinery operations.
What you will do
- Develop and execute category, sourcing, contracting, and supplier management strategies for the Singapore joint venture refinery.
- Lead market assessments, cost modelling, benchmarking, total cost of ownership analyses, and commercial evaluations.
- Conduct negotiations and drive sustainable cost savings aligned with business objectives.
- Establish supplier performance mechanisms, metrics, and relationship management approaches.
- Advise refinery procurement leadership and stakeholders on procurement processes, controls, standards, and category strategies.
- Partner with operations, maintenance, reliability, capital projects, legal, risk, tax, suppliers, and global category teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or Procurement/Supply Chain Management.
- 5–8 years of procurement or category management experience in oil and gas, pharmaceutical, chemical, or related industries.
- In-depth knowledge of category planning, strategic sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and negotiations.
- Experience with total cost of ownership, should-cost modelling, benchmarking, and project procurement for capital projects.
- Knowledge of refining or manufacturing commodity markets and plant environments.
- Strong analytical, project management, change management, communication, presentation, influencing, and consensus-building skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in a refinery, terminal, or similar manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge of SMART by GEP or SAP e-procurement systems.
