Quality Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Support daily quality assurance activities and continuous improvement across production quality deliverables.
• Prepare and support PPAP packages, customer-specific advanced quality planning, control plans, inspection plans, and containment plans.
• Conduct capability studies, layered process audits, customer audits, and root-cause analysis.
• Develop and submit 8-D reports, initiate quality alerts, and track corrective and preventive actions through closure.
• Apply statistical tools and mentor team members on statistical techniques.
• Act as a point of contact between external customers and the plant, including customer visits and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Three years of quality engineering or related manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of PPAP requirements and approval processes.
• Strong auditing skills and working knowledge of SPC and core automotive quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and product specifications.
• Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• A related degree is preferred; automotive manufacturing experience is preferred.
