TL;DR
Cybersecurity Firewall Analyst (SASE): Implementing, supporting, and optimizing Palo Alto Networks SASE solutions and on-premises inspection environments in a large-scale enterprise with an accent on cloud-delivered security controls, policy enforcement, and threat prevention. Focus on designing resilient SASE connectivity, integrating telemetry for threat detection, and improving security monitoring, incident analysis, and operational metrics.
Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; hybrid work required and remote work is not an option
Pay rate: $62–65 per hour on W-2 only; no C2C

What you will do
- Implement, support, and manage the lifecycle of Palo Alto Networks SASE solutions, including Prisma Access, GlobalProtect, and Strata Cloud Manager.
- Design and optimize secure web gateway, CASB, ZTNA, and threat prevention controls across cloud-delivered security platforms.
- Integrate SASE solutions with on-premises inspection technologies such as F5 BIG-IP and SWG/proxy environments.
- Provide advanced engineering support in collaboration with Security Operations, Network Engineering, and Incident Response teams.
- Develop high-availability, hardening, failover, resilience, and service continuity strategies.
- Improve threat detection, incident analysis, threat hunting, mitigation effectiveness, and security reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field.
- At least 4 years of cybersecurity or IT-related experience, including military information security or system administration experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity-focused roles.
- Experience with Palo Alto Networks SASE, Prisma Access, GlobalProtect, Strata Cloud Manager, and inspection-zone technologies.
- Knowledge of BGP, IPSec, routing, NAT, SASE connectivity design, policy design, traffic steering, and segmentation.
- Experience with APIs, scripting, Python or Terraform, high availability, system hardening, and performance optimization.
Nice to have
- Experience migrating from legacy proxy or multi-vendor environments to SASE platforms.
- Knowledge of NIST, CIS, and Zero Trust frameworks.
- Multiple security certifications, such as GIAC, CISSP, CISA, or CISM.
- Experience communicating risk and providing leadership-ready updates.
