Manager, Business Intelligence (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid, three days per week in one of the U.S. hub offices: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; or Denver, Colorado. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 annually, plus potential annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead 2–5 BI developers and analysts in defining technical requirements, designing solutions, and delivering dashboards and data assets through agile processes.
• Support BI strategy, reporting standards, analytics processes, and technical architecture practices.
• Develop and improve BI architecture, enterprise data structures, reporting frameworks, and visualization capabilities.
• Partner with architects, business users, and technical teams to model business concepts and implement data warehouse and reporting solutions.
• Coach, mentor, and train team members while maintaining quality, accuracy, accountability, and compliance standards.
• Manage priorities, resources, delivery plans, vendor evaluations, and staffing needs for BI initiatives.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a bachelor’s degree with two years of equivalent work experience.
• At least two years of experience with the full Microsoft BI Stack, including SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
• Experience managing enterprise data warehouse environments, including database design, modeling, administration, and optimization.
• Experience delivering full-cycle Business Intelligence implementations using Microsoft SQL Server and IBM Cognos.
• Experience developing ETL processes for data warehouses and data marts.
• Experience training and mentoring staff, working with business and technical audiences, and managing offshore staff.

Nice to have

• Power BI, Snowflake, or Dataiku experience.
• Insurance industry experience.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, judgment, decision-making, and relationship-building skills.
